Belt Day was my first large size portrait. I drew on an 11"x14", 2 ply smooth bristol sheet. The folds and contours of the clothing were lots of fun. Having two people in the picture was a challenge, two heads, four hands.... I like the way two people together, and their interaction, can create a particularly pleasing composition both visually and emotionally. We are very blessed to have two kids who really are this great together the vast majority of the time.
